yesterday,
as i was walking up the hill to school,
i was behind a girl in a red plaid coat.
"that is an incredibly cute coat!"
i thought.
so, as i walked behind this girl, i watched her.
she was bright and springy in her step.
very happy.
when i walk to school, its more of a trudge.
but this girl just exuded excitement.
i wanted to be happy, too!
so i tried to lift up my eyes up and be happier.
i put a smile on my face.
gotta fake it to make it, right?
and, guess what!
it worked!
yesterday was such a good day!
that afternoon,
as i was walking home,
down the hill.
guess who was in front of me?
the very same girl.
red plaid coat and everything.
that girl had unknowingly made my day just wonderful.
just by being a happy example!
so i sped up a little bit and smiled at her.
and then i passed a boy who smelled like froot loops.
and that made me happy, too.
